High School and College Facilities
Quality education cannot take place in an insecure environment.
Video surveillance technology in public and private educational facilities around the country is rapidly becoming the most vital element of an effective safety and security program. In the wake of the numerous school tragedies that have shocked our nation, the threat of student violence is ever-present and serves as a grave call to action. In addition to student violence, harassment, theft and vandalism overshadow campuses nationwide and pose threats to the safety of students and faculty.
According to the National Education Association (NEA): thefts occur 3 ½ times more often in schools than in businesses, vandalism costs schools over one billion dollars annually, over 1,600 suspicious fires occur each year in schools and every hour of each school day over 900 teachers are threatened, and over 200 students and 40 teachers are physically attacked on school grounds. |
